The woman found dead on a docked boat at a ritzy Hamptons yacht club has been identified as 33-year-old local designer Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra.

Nolan-O’Slatarra was found dead at the Montauk Yacht Club in Long Island, New York, on Tuesday after a man called 911 around midnight to report an "unconscious" woman on a boat, the Suffolk County Police Department said in a news release. Good Samaritans attempted to perform CPR, but she was pronounced dead by first responders.

A preliminary investigation and examination were inconclusive regarding Nolan-O’Slatarra's cause of death, authorities said.

An autopsy "did not show evidence of violence," police said in an update Wednesday. Her final cause of death is pending further examination.

Suffolk County Police said homicide detectives are investigating the death.

Nolan-O’Slatarra, who lived in Manhattan, was the founder of the clothing brand East x East, according to her social media accounts. She was also the director of operations for K IV Capital Management in New York. Neither company returned a request for comment on Wednesday.

In an interview last year with the Irish Independent, Nolan-O’Slatarra talked about leaving home in Ireland to follow her ambitions.

"Carlow is a small town. I was the small town girl who needed to get out to achieve her big dreams," she said. "I always knew I wanted to be successful, that I was money-driven, business-driven — and that fashion is a tough industry and it would be a slow road."

According to the newspaper, she studied commerce at the University College Dublin and graduated with a master’s degree in digital marketing from Smurfit Business School.

Montauk Yacht Club spans 16 acres on Lake Montauk. A spokesperson said the club was "saddened to learn of the incident that took place" and is cooperating with law enforcement.
