Chicago police are investigating after recovering three bodies, including two children, from Lake Michigan on Saturday.

The body of an infant girl was the first to be discovered, found at 11:23 a.m. Saturday near South DuSable Lake Shore Drive, according to the Chicago Police Department.

About three hours later, the bodies of a 31-year-old woman and a 6-year-old boy were also found. They were recovered on East Hayes Drive, roughly a mile south of where the infant was found, according to police.

Investigators did not release their identities, but Chicago police believe the three deaths are connected. The matter appears “to stem from a domestic dispute,” police said.

A cause of death was not immediately released, and autopsies are still pending.
