The disapppearance of pyrotechnics from a music festival staging area prompted authorities to boost security at all National Collegiate Athletic Association Final Four venues, Dallas police said Friday.
The measure follows a report by the workers with the company contracted to provide the fireworks show for the March Madness Music Festival that a quantity of pyrotechnics were missing from the staging area.
Precautions were also being taken at other event locations in the area where large crowds are expected, police said.
