A Pennsylvania man was sentenced to a year in prison Wednesday for threatening to kill President Obama in an email sent to the White House website last year.

Nicholas Savino, 42, of Clarks Summit, pleaded guilty in March to sending the August 16 threat that read: "President Obama the Anti-Christ. As a result of breaking the constitution you will stand down or be shot dead," according to U.S. Attorney Peter Smith.

Savino was arrested about a week after he sent the threat — just one day before Obama's visit to nearby Scranton. Savino has to serve two years on supervised release following his prison sentence and pay a $3,000 fine. He will also forfeit three guns and about 11,000 rounds of ammunition found in his apartment and car.
