SAN FRANCISCO - A large earthquake struck just north of San Francisco early Sunday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. It said the quake registered at a magnitude 6.0 and its epicenter was five miles north of American Canyon, California. There were no immediate reports of damage or injury, and no tsunami warnings were issued. The temblor caused houses to shake in the center of San Francisco and knocked out power to more than 50,000 people.
