A South Carolina woman has been charged with murder and child abuse for allegedly giving her 14-month-old grandson a lethal dose of the powerful painkiller oxycodone in his sippy cup two months ago. Police did not say why Angela Denise Brewer, 43, gave the drug to the toddler or whether she intended to kill him. Authorities were called to her Pickens home on Oct. 17 and found a relative performing CPR on the child. An autopsy later determined the cause of death.
