A body discovered early Tuesday in the waters of Mobile Bay, Alabama, was identified as one of four sailors still missing since Saturday and presumed dead, officials said.
A Good Samaritan fishing in the waters found the body and notified first responders, the U.S. Coast Guard said in a news release. The victim was not immediately identified.
The bodies of two other sailors were found over the weekend following the accident, when 10 boats capsized or suffered damage as a strong thunderstorm blew in around 4:30 p.m. local time. Three of the boats had been participating in the Dauphin Island Sailing Regatta races sponsored by the Fairhope Yacht Club.
About 40 people had to be rescued from the waters, officials said.
The two dead were identified as Kris Beall, 27, of Pineville, Louisiana, and Robert Delaney, 72, of Madison, Mississippi, reported NBC affiliate WPMI.
Three sailors are still missing, two of whom have been identified by their families: Adam Clark, 17, and Jimmy Charles "J.C." Brown.
A fifth sailor initially reported missing was found safe at home, the Coast Guard said.
