A man found in the rubble of a storm-lashed building in Philadelphia was a suspected looter looking for items to sell, police told NBC10.

While firefighters were on the scene of three-story building collapse they found a man who was then arrested for disorderly conduct.

The incident happened in Cumberland Street in North Philadelphia. Investigators say an abandoned building collapsed. No one was hurt.

NBC10 cameras rolled as firemen stood at the scene. As they were talking among themselves, a sound was heard from beneath the rubble. When they went to investigate, they found a man underneath. The firemen pulled the man out and took him to police.

Police told NBC10 reporter John Clark that they believed the man was underneath the wreckage looting and looking for items to sell, such as copper. The man was arrested and will be charged with disorderly conduct, according to police.

The cause of the collapse is being investigated.
