“Looksmaxxing” influencer Clavicular has been charged in connection with the rape of a teenage girl at his family’s house in Cape Cod last May, according to a criminal complaint.
Clavicular, 20, whose real name is Braden Peters, was charged with rape, drugging someone for sexual intercourse and procuring liquor for someone under 21 years old. The complaint was filed on Sept. 8 in Orleans District Court in Barnstable County, Massachusetts.
Aleksandra Vasilevna Mendoza, an 18-year-old influencer known online as Alorah or Alorah Ziva, alleged that in May 2025, while she was in Massachusetts, Peters called her an Uber to his family’s Cape Cod house. Once there, he got her drunk on vodka while they livestreamed on Twitch and then raped her, according to a criminal complaint from the Chatham Police Department. His mom and grandmother were allegedly in the house.

The charges come months after Mendoza sued Peters in Miami, accusing him of sexual battery in connection with the events of May 2025. The civil lawsuit also separately alleges he injected her face with a non-FDA-approved fat-dissolving substance during a November livestream in Florida.
A source familiar with the matter confirmed that the charges against Peters are in connection with Mendoza’s allegations.
Peters’ attorney at the time Mendoza’s civil lawsuit was filed said that he denies the allegations and “intends to vigorously defend himself.” The influencer defended himself in a series of posts on X on Monday night; he included a section of a video Mendoza previously posted in which she spoke about meeting Peters in May 2025 and called him “super nice.” Peters also shared what appears to be a handwritten letter Mendoza sent him, in which she said she was “thankful for you helping me.”
“How about dont finance cars you cant afford,” he wrote in one post. “Happens to all successful young men, people try to come for your money. Greed is evil.”
Mendoza’s lawyer told NBC News they have “no comment at this time as the police are handling the criminal matter.” Peters’ attorneys declined to comment.
The Bulwark first reported the criminal charges. Peters’ representative, Mitchell Jackson, said the outlet was “exaggerating” in its article and that Peters had not been served with an arrest warrant. An email to the general mailbox of The Bulwark seeking comment was not immediately returned late Monday.
“Braden Peters has not been physically served. As usual the Bulwark is exaggerating,” Jackson said in a text message Monday night. A source familiar with the matter confirmed that Peters had not been served as of Tuesday morning.
According to the Massachusetts criminal complaint, Mendoza told police she met Peters on Instagram in May 2025, while Mendoza was a minor, and they developed an online business relationship. Her civil lawsuit alleges that Peter offered to help make Mendoza well known online, and paid her $1,000 to make four “looksmaxxing” videos.
Eventually, the criminal complaint says, Peters ordered Mendoza an Uber to his family’s residence in Chatham, Massachusetts, a seaside town at the southeastern tip of Cape Cod.
Mendoza said Peters’ mother and grandmother greeted her when she arrived at the house on May 23, 2025, early in the evening, according to the criminal complaint. She then went into Peters’ bedroom, where they livestreamed on Twitch while drinking alcohol. According to the criminal complaint, Mendoza told police she felt “peer-pressured” to drink.
She said Peters “instructed her to say that the alcohol is water, so that neither his Twitch account nor live stream gets banned,” according to the criminal complaint. After making out on Peters’ couch, Mendoza said she fell asleep in Peters’ bed, according to the criminal complaint.
Mendoza told police that she woke up the next morning to Peters having sex with her, according to the criminal complaint.
“She stated that because it was already occurring, she did not tell Mr. Peters to stop,” the criminal complaint says. “Ms. Mendoza advised that she did not consent to the sexual intercourse.”
Mendoza told police she did not say anything to Peters as he was on top of her because she was in “shock,” and that she never verbally consented to the sex. She said that after Peters finished having sex with her “he was so cold” and ordered her an Uber home, according to the criminal complaint.
In her civil lawsuit, Mendoza additionally alleged Peters had sex with her when she was drunk “to the point where she was unable to give consent.” The criminal complaint did not mention that allegation.
Mendoza did not receive a sexual assault forensic exam after the encounter, according to the criminal complaint.
According to the criminal complaint, she initially told police she told a friend about the encounter but could not provide the friend’s contact information at the time. When police called her back later, she told them she “did not tell anyone the full extent of what occurred,” according to the criminal complaint.
Police attempted to contact Peters multiple times in response to the allegations, per the criminal complaint, but he did not contact authorities as of Aug. 30.
Mendoza said she saw Peters again in November 2025 after they ran into each other at a networking event in Miami, her civil lawsuit says. Peters then allegedly invited Mendoza and her friends to his place in Delray Beach, Florida, for a streaming session on Kick.
Mendoza alleged that during the livestream, Peters injected her with a syringe of Aqualyx, a fat-dissolving compound he did not reveal was not approved by the Food and Drug Administration, which he said would reduce fat in her face, without her consent, according to the civil lawsuit.
“The video shows that Peters had problems injecting Mendoza. In fact, Mendoza’s right cheek has perforated,” the civil lawsuit says, adding that Peters allegedly suggested that the syringe contained methamphetamine.
Peters and Mendoza saw each other a handful of times after that, including instances where Peters paid bouncers to let Mendoza into bars and purchased alcoholic drinks for her, according to the civil lawsuit.
In July, Peters filed a motion to dismiss several counts and challenged the sexual misconduct claim, which was added in an amended complaint. That motion is still pending. Peters is set to be deposed on Oct. 1, and the case remains pending.
Over the last few years, Peters has gained enormous fame as something of a godfather of “looksmaxxing,” an online phenomenon among young men. “Looksmaxxing” is the general practice of trying to maximize your physical appearance through a wide range of dieting, exercise and grooming habits. It promotes men with sharp jawlines, low body fat and symmetrical faces.
“Looksmaxxers” sometimes attempt to achieve the optimal male physique through extreme measures, including “bone smashing,” or using a hammer to intentionally break facial bones so they grow back more defined. Experts have called the trend potentially unhealthy and dangerous.
The new charges against Peters are not his first run-in with the law.
Peters and two other people were charged in April in Florida with shooting at an alligator. He and another person pleaded no contest to unlawfully discharging a firearm in public and were given six months of probation and ordered to serve 20 hours of community service, according to NBC South Florida.
He was also hospitalized in April in Miami after a suspected overdose, according to his representative. He said in a livestream at the time, after being released from the hospital, that “I ain’t gonna be doing any more substances for a little while, hopefully for forever.”
