Video footage taken from a privately owned drone reveals some of the damage in Napa, California, wrought by Sunday's earthquake. The video, shot by Evan Kilkus, was "intended for educational purposes to show builders and building owners across the world the results of this earthquake," he notes on his YouTube post of the footage. Kilkus said he spent five hours using a DJI Phantom 2 Vision+ Quadcopter to compile his footage.
The magnitude-6.0 quake was the strongest to hit the region in 25 years. The temblor struck about six miles south of Napa and lasted 10 to 20 seconds, according to the United States Geological Survey. Hundreds of people were treated for injuries, and 100 homes and buildings were deemed uninhabitable.
