Two associates of former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez were indicted Monday on murder charges, according to the Bristol District Attorney’s Office in Massachusetts.
Carlos Ortiz and Ernest Wallace will be arraigned on murder charges in the 2013 fatal shooting of Odin Lloyd in North Attleboro, Mass., Gregg Miliote, the district attorney's director of communications said in a statement.
A date for the arraignment has not yet been scheduled, the statement said.
Ortiz and Wallace pleaded not guilty to previous charges of accessory to murder after the fact, according to NBC affiliate NECN.
Hernandez was charged with Lloyd's murder in June 2013, after prosecutors said the football star "orchestrated his execution." Hernandez pleaded not guilty but has remained in jail.
