The one-two winter punch in the Northeast has left some Massachusetts towns with eye-popping snow totals of more than 50 inches.

The town of Lunenburg, near the New Hampshire state line, appears to have the highest National Weather Service-certified snow total from the two storms. It got 36 inches during the blizzard last week, plus 19 on Monday, for a total of 55 inches.

The weather service recorded a total of 51.5 inches in Worcester, about 50 miles southwest of Boston, and 50 inches in the nearby town of Auburn.

It wasn’t quite so bad in Boston, but the snow was still impressive — a total of almost 41 inches at Logan airport, including 16 on Monday. The city had to push back the victory parade for the Super Bowl champion Patriots by a day, to Wednesday.
