Hoping to take in a World Series game at Citi Field? It'll cost you.

Single tickets for Games 3 and 4 and a possible Game 5 at the New York Mets' home field are going for an average of $1,667.82, according to TiqIQ. That would make the 2015 Series the priciest Fall Classic ticket since the ticket resale agent started keeping track in 2010.

The Mets, in the World Series for the first time since 2000, could learn their opponent Friday night when the Kansas City Royals host the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series.

A Royals win clinches the series and sends the Mets to Kansas City on Tuesday. A Blue Jays win forces a winner-take-all game Saturday.
