Spring trout stock arrives on Connecticut waterways

The State of Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection will stock lakes, rivers and streams with nearly 400,000 Rainbow, Brown and Brook Trout through the end of May 2013. The trout stocking, provided as a service for recreational fishermen, is done entirely by hand, from the harvesting of eggs and sperm from the young adult fish to the transferring of the fish from the hatchery to the waterways.
