General Hospital Actress Nancy Lee Grahn has tweeted out an apology after making it clear on Sunday night that she didn’t think Viola Davis’ Emmy win was as monumental as most.

Viola made history and became the first African-American to win an Emmy for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series for her role on ABC's “How To Get Away With Murder”.

Davis began her acceptance speech by quoting legendary abolitionist Harriet Tubman, “In my mind, I see a line, and over that line I see green fields and lovely flowers and beautiful white women with their arms stretched out to me over that line. But I can't seem to get there no how. I can't seem to get over that line."

Davis continued saying, "But let me tell you something, the only thing that separates women of color from anything else is opportunity."

Grahn took to Twitter and released a host of tweets to express her disdain.

She tweeted at another user implying that Harriet Tubman dug through tunnels.

Shockingly enough, she then went on to suggest that Davis had never been discriminated against.

"Im [sic] a f---ing actress for 40 yrs," Grahn wrote in a post that has now been deleted. "None of us get respect or opportunity we deserve. Emmys not venue 4 racial opportunity. ALL women belittled," Grahn said in the tweet captured here.

Of course Grahn soon started receiving backlash from Twitter users.

Grahn eventually tweeted an apology to what many were calling a racist tweet.

But outside of that controversy, Davis received a ton of support from her fellow celebrities on her accomplishment.

Taraji P. Henson, who was also nominated for the award for her role in Empire, leapt out of her chair to embrace Davis on her way to the podium
