Actress Jeimy Osorio talks about the new Telemundo series, ‘Celia’, based on the life of the late "Queen of Salsa," Celia Cruz. The series will premiere on October 13, 2015, at 8pm/7c.

Celia Cruz fled the Cuban regime in 1962 for the U.S. and would continue to rise to worldwide fame and recognition. In total, Cruz recorded more than 75 records, 23 of them went gold, and she won several Grammy’s and Latin Grammy’s.

Osorio talks about the show and what the iconic Cuban singer means to her, saying: “I am living her dream when she started. I know she wanted to be remembered not as a star but as a good person. It’s going to be a big tribute to her passion for music.”

“She started as a shy girl who thought she had everything to lose and then become a brilliant diamond that everybody remembers. And that transition, that is what we are going to see.”
