When we last left immigration reform, there was talk of a delay on executive action. But Friday, the president added some suspense.
Wrapping up a trip to Wales where the grave issues of the Ukraine and ISIS miltants were discussed, President Barack Obama also hinted some possible action on immigration.
Attorney General Eric Holder and Homeland Security Secretary Eric Johnson already had begun to provide him recommendations and proposal, he said.
“I except on my flight back this will be part of my reading, taking a look at some of the specifics that we’ve looked at, and I’ll be making an announcement soon,” Obama said.
Earlier Obama had said he would act by the end of summer (officially Sept. 22) but last week he had suggested a potential slip in the timeline.
