Nevada Republican Gov. Brian Sandoval said Tuesday in an interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal that his vote for presumptive Republican presidential nominee is not "for sure."
“I will only say that you can’t defend the indefensible,” Sandoval, Nevada’s first Hispanic governor, told the Las Vegas Review-Journal, referring to Trump’s harsh and repeated criticism of U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel due to his "Mexican" heritage. Curiel is the judge presiding over civil lawsuits against Trump University.
Sandoval, a former federal judge, also cited Trump's "perceived bias" against Muslims.
“Now, he’s talked about this judge and he’s also made a reference to another minority group that he would have the same concerns about, which obviously concerns me as well,” said Sandoval about Trump.
Sandoval added that his vote is not "for sure."
Sandoval, Nevada's first Hispanic governor, endorsed Trump May 4 after Ohio Gov. John Kasich suspended his presidential campaign. Recently, an aide to the country's only Latina state governor, New Mexico Republican Susana Martinez, said she would not be "bullied" into supporting Trump after he criticized her following her absence at a Trump rally in the state.
