Secretary of Labor Tom Perez discusses the stagnation in Congress over comprehensive immigration reform and defends the legality of President Obama's immigration executive actions, which will be argued before the Supreme Court on Monday as the Justices examine DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) and DAPA (Deferred Action for Parental Accountability). Several states have sued over these actions which have given thousands of immigrants relief from deportation.

"There has been a longstanding precedent in the Supreme Court that the federal government, the executive branch, has authority in immigration matters," Perez said.
