In a speech before the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) on Thursday, Vice President Joseph Biden, Jr. told the audience immigration reform would improve U.S. foreign policy.

Biden said all Latin American leaders he has spoken to in recent meetings have asked about immigration reform. "It's about respect," said Biden, adding that Latin America's global growing economic clout and its growing free trade relationships with the U.S. makes immigration reform even more of a priority.

The Vice President also said the U.S. should staple "green cards" to the degrees of immigrants who come to the U.S. to pursue higher education.
