A former youth sports coach was held on $1 million bail Thursday on multiple charges that he sexually abused members of teams he coached in Oregon. Kenneth Scott Carroll, 42, is also under investigation in Washington state on similar allegations after investigators there said they'd found "extensive" illegal materials dating back to the 1990s.

Carroll, who authorities said coached a youth football team in the Washington town of Puyallup before he left the area last autumn, was extradited this week from Montana, where he was arrested on a federal warrant in August, to Oregon City, Oregon. At a hearing Thursday afternoon, he was ordered held in the Clackamas County jail in lieu of $1 million bail on nine counts of sexual abuse, sodomy and unlawful sexual penetration. Clackamas County sheriff's investigators said Thursday that they had identified four Oregon victims and were actively seeking other possible victims Clark is suspected of having abused from 1998 to early 2002 in the town of Colton, where he coached boys wrestling and football teams.

Separately, the Washington State Patrol said Thursday that it has been investigating Carroll since February in two cases of alleged sexual abuse of minors and that he was believed to have had several other victims in that state, some of whom it said he videotaped. Carroll's computer harbored 120,000 pictures and 1,000 videos of explicit child pornography, some of which he produced himself, Lt. Ron Mead, commander of the patrol's Missing and Exploited Children's Task Force, told NBC station KING of Seattle.
