The desperate felon accused of multiple carjackings during a dangerous pursuit with Colorado cops appeared before a judge Friday for the first time.

Ryan Stone, 28, was advised that several charges will be filed against him March 19 as part of the wild early Wednesday car chase that included him seriously injuring a state trooper, a Douglas County judge said. His arrest warrant says he would potentially face attempted murder, assault, kidnapping and aggravated motor vehicle theft.

News cameras televised the dramatic, 100-mile-per-hour pursuit as the car flew the wrong way down busy streets and sideswiped vehicles. The judge Friday kept Stone's bond at $3.5 million.

The incident began when a woman at a gas station in Longmont, north of Boulder, told police that her car was stolen with her 4-year-old son inside of it. Stone abandoned the car, also leaving the child behind, and then went on to hijack two other vehicles, police said.

At one point, Stone allegedly clipped state trooper Bellamann Hee as he stood on the shoulder of toll road E-470 trying to deploy stop sticks. Hee underwent surgery and is expected to recover.

The other drivers who were carjacked weren’t injured, troopers said.

Stone was finally caught after slamming into a car at an intersection and trying to flee on foot. Police haven't detailed why Stone went on the alleged carjacking spree.

Jail records show he was already wanted for two fugitive warrants after he walked out of a hearing last week at an Arapahoe County court. That hearing involved two drug arrests in February. Stone’s rap sheet includes prior convictions for assault, motor vehicle theft and drug charges.
