Chinese actress Zhao Wei made headlines recently when her intense stare launched a lawsuit from a fan, who claimed watching her show caused him "spiritual damage." Now, audiences in America can witness the look behind that litigation for the first time.

The comedic drama, Tiger Mom, tells the story of a loving couple who live the perfect life in Beijing, until the day they realize their daughter is behind her peers in school. Zhao Wei, in her role as the intense, ambitious mother, clashes with her laid-back husband on how to best improve their daughter's academic performance.
DramaFever, a popular streaming service for international television shows and movies, will offer episodes of Tiger Mom to audiences in the U.S. beginning July 7. "Tiger Mom initially premiered in China on May 1st of this year," the company said in a statement, "and became an instant success touching on a debate sparked by Amy Chua’s 2011 novel 'Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mom.'"
Zhao Wei, also known as Vicki Wei, is one of China's most popular stars, and is known for her large eyes. The lawsuit sparked international headlines ridiculing the Shanghai man behind it.
