More than a third of Americans think the undead would do a better job running Washington.

Congress has hit a freaky new low this Halloween.

Thirty seven percent of Americans say that zombies, yes the un-dead, would do a better job at governing than our current lawmakers, a new poll reveals.

These findings should come as no surprise as the new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll reveals 63% want to replace everyone in Congress and 74% believe Congress is contributing to the problems in Washington, rather than solving them. A recent report from Public Policy Polling shows that Americans have a higher opinion of zombies, witches, and hipsters than Washington, all popular Halloween costumes this year.

As this Halloween is proving to be a spooky and frightful one in Washington, only 6% of Americans anticipate a zombie apocalypse so the dream (or nightmare) of zombies running Washington probably won’t come true.
