Sen. Jeanne Shaheen wants the GOP to stop making accusations about the shutdown and start compromising.
Sen. Jeanne Shaheen expressed her frustration with House GOP members about the government shutdown. During her appearance on Andrea Mitchell Reports on Thursday, she said, “I think it’s disappointing to hear members of Congress who are willing to pit one American against another. The fact is, this government shutdown is hurting so many people who don’t deserve to be hurt — whether it’s veterans, whether it’s kids in head-start, whether it’s seniors who are getting meals on wheels.”
