President Obama resurrects his 2008 campaign themes in Middle East strategy

On his first state visit to Israel, President Obama dusted off some of the themes from his first presidential campaign and and his first year in office.

The president’s advice to the Israeli people on achieving peace with the Palestinians–which he says is “possible”–echoes the ideas he campaigned on in 2008, as well as those he expressed to the Muslim world in Cairo after he was elected. It’s a message rooted in hope, justice and change through grassroots action.

Watch Alex Wagner as she dug into the video vault Friday to analyze the President’s latest Middle East strategy.
