As Steve Kornacki heads off to host his own weekend show, Up with Steve Kornacki, The Cycle hosts wanted to send him off in style.

Wednesday marks Steve Kornacki’s last day as co-host of The Cycle. Steve is moving on Up to take over for Chris Hayes’ weekend morning show. The new program will be called Up With Steve Kornacki. Now we all know that no one on The Cycle loves wonky historical references more that Steve, so we can only imagine what his show will be like, but before we look ahead we wanted to take a look back on memory lane.

From the moments on air when he re-counts his love for Michael Dukakis, to a random primary election dates, he just pulls seemingly random facts out from his brain without doing any research ahead of time. “He is not human,” Toure says, “he is not Googling this” and no one questions what Steve says because we all know that Steve does know all!

Let’s not forget his infamous Steve’s Korner web videos where he re-counts random moments in history like the 1992 New Hampshire primary or the 1996 GOP primary.

There are also different sides of Kornacki. There is the paranoid Kornacki who is afraid to fly and believes the world may blow up at any given moment. There is messy Kornacki, which we all saw when his co-hosts, Krystal and S.E., gave us some insight into Steve’s world and explained why they may live in fear on a daily basis.

There are so many dimensions to Steve that it is hard to pinpoint one, but we can be sure that his future holds many sweaters and not so many suits.

“Steve, it has been a lot of fun,” Krystal said in her goodbye to Steve, “it’s not going to be the same without you.”

All of us here at The Cycle  love all the dimensions of Steve and wish him luck on his future endeavor.

Be sure to tune in Monday at 3 p.m. et to see who will be sitting in Steve’s chair and given the new name of Cycle co-host.
