Google has officially launched an iPhone app for its new Google+ social network. Unfortunately, not all Google+ functionality is present in the iPhone apps.

Google+ for Android has been available previously, but this is the first Google+ app available for iOS devices. Google+ for iPhone provides access to all the updates and notifications available through Google's service, as well as access to Circles and the Huddle chat features. Users can upload photos, video and updates directly from their iPhones.

The Google+ for iPhone app is not complete, though. For instance, the Hangout video chat feature is not available, possibly because Apple feels it competes with its FaceTime video chat feature. Google has already updated the app once and plans to keep adding features.
