Congratulations to Allison Case of Madison, Ala., who submitted the top-rated image in this week’s It’s A Snap travel photo contest.

Case was visiting Egypt in early August with her family during a celebratory trip after she took the bar exam.

“It was terribly hot, but we enjoyed beautiful blue skies for the entire trip,” she said.

Case’s exit-sign photo was snapped at the Temple of Horus. “We were on our way up the Nile on a river cruise,” she said. “[We] got off the boat at Edfu and then hopped in a horse-drawn carriage to the temple.”

“The fact that the sign was hand painted caught my eye, and then the humor of ‘big bus,’ ‘carrige,’ and ‘microbus’ made me snap a picture,” she said.

The carriage’s driver was a boy who was 12 years old, or perhaps younger. “He proudly showed us his ID badge when we joked whether he was old enough to drive,” she said.
