Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has admitted fathering a baby outside his 21-year marriage.

Grohl, 55, revealed the news in an Instagram statement Tuesday, writing that he has "recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage."

"I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness," he wrote. "We're grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together."A representative for Grohl would not share any additional comment.

Grohl did not disclose in his post any additional information about the mother of his newest daughter.

Grohl, the founder of Foo Fighters and former drummer for Nirvana, has been married to his second wife, Jordyn Blum, for more than two decades.

The pair have three daughters together: Violet Maye, 18, Harper Willow, 15, and Ophelia Saint, 10.
