The 2016 Emmy Nominations were announced Thursday morning, and though no Latinos were nominated for top awards, there were some nominations for acting, cinematography and stunt coordination.
"Jane the Virgin" narrator Anthony Mendez has been nominated for the second year in the row as Outstanding Narrator. As NBC Latino entertainment editor Jack Rico stated after interviewing him last year, "Mendez is a co-protagonist and an essential key to the storytelling process of the show." Born in the Bronx, New York to Dominican parents, Mendez's fluid, deep baritone has become one of the show's hallmarks.

Cinematographer Dana Gonzales, known for his work in films like "Crash" and "Legion," is nominated for a second Emmy award for Outstanding Cinematography for a Miniseries or Movie. In 2014 he was nominated for the same award for his work in "Fargo."
Oscar Nuñez is nominated for his first Emmy Award. He is up for the Outstanding Actor in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series for his work on "The Crossroads of History."
Two Latino stunt coordinators are up for Outstanding Stunt Coordination for a Comedy Series or Variety Program. Eddie Perez is nominated for his work in "Shameless," and Philip Silvera for Marvel's "Daredevil."
