Walfredo (Wally) de los Reyes, Jr., is a Cuban-American musician who plays drums and auxiliary percussion, very well known for his work with Santana and currently touring with the group Chicago. Recently he came to Cuba to deliver a master class on Cuban percussion at Havana’s “Fiesta del Tambor”, a festival dedicated to percussion.

It was his second trip to the island, but this time Wally was accompanied by his children keen on getting to know the land where their father and grandfather - legendary multi-percussionist Walfredo de los Reyes, Sr. - were born, and their roots. They did: they got to know Havana, its people, family, and above all, its music, and the Cuban beat.

--NBC'S Orlando Matos and Roberto León reported from Havana, Cuba.
