Marco Rubio’s town hall airing tonight at 8 p.m. ET on MSNBC could not have come at a more precarious time for his campaign. But despite last night’s disappointing results (he is projected to pick up zero delegates) and increasing calls for him to exit the race, the Florida senator did not sound like he has any plans to get out before his home state primary next Tuesday.
And perhaps more interesting than Rubio defending his continued existence in the race, you will hear him admit the mistake of going after Donald Trump personally. “In terms of things that have to do with personal stuff, yeah, at the end of the day it's not something I'm entirely proud of. My kids were embarrassed by it, and if I had to do it again I wouldn't," Rubio told Chuck Todd. And, hours after Trump said Rubio could be a potential VP pick, you will also hear the senator pretty definitely knock down the idea of a Trump-Rubio ticket.
