Don Francisco, known by legions of fans for hosting "Sábado Gigante," signed a multi-year deal with Telemundo to produce content for Latino and international Hispanic audiences.
Don Francisco, whose legal name is Mario Kreutzberger, will bring his 50-plus years of TV experience back to the airwaves. He will work as a producer, also appearing on Telemundo as a special news correspondent conducting high-profile interviews.

"I am extremely happy with this opportunity NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises is giving me," Francisco said in a statement, adding that Telemundo has taken "pasos gigantes" (giant steps) through its vision and commitment.
Don Francisco had announced his retirement from television in September 2015, but on Monday confirmed his return.
