Malaysia's transport minister Saturday denied reports that Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 had crashed off the coast of an island south of Vietnam.
“At the moment we have no confirmation of any wreckage," Seri Hishammuddin said at a news conference.
The flight carrying 239 passengers — including four Americans — broke contact about two hours after it took off from Kuala Lumpur, the airline and the Vietnamese government said Saturday.
The signal was lost one minute before the plane entered Vietnam's air jurisdiction on its way to Beijing, the army said.
