Watch YouTube a lot? You're probably tired of ads. Now there's a simple way to skip them — for a price, of course. The newly announced YouTube Red is a premium membership that will set you back $10 per month ($13 on iOS), but shield you from ads site-wide. You'll also be able to save videos for offline viewing or let the sound of a music video or show play in the background while you use other apps or put your phone in your pocket.

The service is launching the 28th, and includes ad-free access to YouTube Music, a new app that offers a Pandora or Spotify-like curated playlist. YouTube Red will also give you access to Google Play Music, which lets you store and play your own tracks online (subscribers there will get free access to Red as well). Red will replace the short-lived YouTube Music Key.

Lastly, subscribers will get access next year to some original shows and movies, like a zombie survival reality show and one where top-earning YouTuber PewDiePie navigates real-life scary situations based on games.

Free, ad-supported YouTube will continue as usual, of course. You can sign up for YouTube Red here starting on Oct. 28th.
