Pope Francis has embarked on a whirlwind multi-city tour where he's greeted by throngs of screaming fans wherever he goes, plays to a packed house at Madison Square Garden, causes a ticket scalper frenzy, and even has his own merch. If he didn't already sound like enough of a rock star, he's now solidifying his status by actually releasing a rock album.
Yes, you read that right. The pope is releasing a rock album.
Pope Francis has collaborated with music label Believe Digital on an album called 'Wake Up!' that is set for release on Nov. 27. The album, first announced by Rolling Stone, pairs some of the pontiff's speeches in various languages with music ranging from pop-rock to Gregorian chants.

The 11-track album is available for preorder on iTunes, and you can even listen to the rockin' first single 'Wake Up! Go! Go! Forward!' on SoundCloud now.
The album features speeches made in Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and English, addressing issues such as peace, dignity and the needy, according to the record-label, which says the album is Vatican-approved.
