KABUL, Afghanistan — A Taliban attack on an Afghan army post in Kunar province left 19 soldiers dead and two wounded, a spokesman for the provincial governor said Sunday.

The spokesman, Abdul Ghani Musim, told NBC News that seven more members of the Afghan National Army had been captured in the attack in the Ghazi Abad district.

He said that the fighting was still going on.
