Authorities said Knoxville, Tenn., police officers found a 4-month-old baby boy inside a stolen car just before 8:15 a.m., following a frantic search.

The stolen Dodge Neon was found abandoned in a McDonald’s parking lot in west Knox County, according to NBC station WBIR. The baby was not injured.

Police were still scouring for the suspect who stole the car from a convenience store around 6:30 a.m. Friday. The suspect was described by authorities as a white male, roughly 5-foot-7 and 150 pounds with blond hair and a scruffy goatee.

Officials told the station that the baby’s unidentified mother left the child unattended in her running car while she went into Weigel’s convenience store.
