A live-in housekeeper gave birth at the ritzy Long Island home where she works, killed her newborn baby and left with its body in a plastic bag, police said.

The 26-year-old housekeeper then dumped the baby's body in a garbage can near the million-dollar oceanfront home on Shoal Drive in West Islip, according to police.

The mother later went to the hospital because of complications from the birth, and the baby was discovered in the trash can.

The baby was born and killed early Sunday morning, police said.

The mother was arrested Thursday and charged with second-degree murder.
