If you want an original and eye-catching phone, you could do worse than LG's new G Flex 2, a sequel to the bendable device it introduced last year — with a few very welcome changes. The new phone, announced ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, has the same distinctive banana-like curve to it as the original that, LG claims, improves the device's ergonomics and lets it flex a bit (try that with your iPhone). Contrary to the trend of phones getting bigger and better every year, the G Flex 2 got smaller and better: a new processor, the latest version of Android (that's 5.0, or "Lollipop") and a smaller (5.5 inches instead of 6) and more high-resolution screen should let the device compete easily against the latest from Samsung and Apple. The battery and anti-scratch coating have been improved as well.

No pricing has been announced, but AT&T and Sprint will both be carrying the G Flex 2 when it arrives on U.S. shores after a debut in Korea later this month.
