Pentagon warns service members that DNA kits pose security risks

In a memo to service members, the Pentagon says popular DNA testing kits from companies like 23andMe and Ancestry “are largely unregulated and could expose personal and genetic information, and potentially create unintended security consequences and increased risk to the joint force and mission.”
