Rare black moon to hang over North America

An eerie and rare phenomenon will grace the North American skies Wednesday: the rare, all-black supermoon. It is a second new moon in a single month – something that happens only every 32 months because of the lack of synchronicity between the 29-day lunar cycle and the months of our calendar.
