Sloth art class: The public school inside a zoo

Imagine walking through a zoo to get to your next high school class. In Tacoma, Washington, the public school SAMI-- the Science and Math Institute-- has one of the highest graduation rates in the state. Haley Diggs took up an interest in marine biology after getting to spend her Tuesdays and Thursdays interning in the zoo’s aquarium in Port Defiance Park and interacting with animals.
