Northern Lights dazzle in the night sky across the U.S.

The Northern Lights lit up the sky in brilliant hues of green and pink over parts of the U.S., eyewitness video showed. The lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis in the Northern Hemisphere, are a phenomenon caused by plasma, ejected from the sun during a solar storm, interacting with the geomagnetic field on Earth.
