13-year-old from New Orleans named one of Time Magazine's 'Girls of the Year'

Naomi DeBerry, a 13-year-old from New Orleans, has been named as one of Time Magazine's "Girls of the Year" for 2025. DeBerry, the only American on the list, was recognized for writing a children's book about organ transplantation inspired by her dad's experience receiving a kidney transplant.
