Alaska Airlines pilots slam on breaks to avoid possible collision

An Alaska Airlines takeoff was averted after a Southwest flight was cleared to cross the same runway in Nashville, according to the FAA. In a statement, Alaska Airlines said the stop was so abrupt, it blew out the plane's tires. It comes as two FedEx pilots spoke out for the first time today, after avoiding a close call on a runway in Austin last year. NBC News' Erin McLaughlin reports.
