Women’s triathlon hit the Seine after it’s declared safe for swimming

The women’s triathlon event became the first event to take place in the Seine River during the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Organizers had delayed the men’s triathlon event after the water quality tests showed the river was unsafe to swim in, but new tests showed the river was safe for the women’s event to proceed.
