University of Florida cuts all DEI roles across campus

The University of Florida is slashing all diversity, equity and inclusion roles across campus, announcing it will reallocate the $5 million initially used for DEI expenses. NBC News’ Marissa Parra reports. CLARIFICATION: This story refers to roughly 30 jobs that would be eliminated. According to the university, 13 positions were eliminated, and 15 faculty members lost administrative appointments, additional duties they had taken on.
