New details of off-duty pilot attempting to shut down plane engines

Alaska Airlines pilot Joseph Emerson is facing 167 counts including attempted murder after trying to shut down a plane’s engines while traveling off-duty. An FBI affidavit says Emerson told police he’d been depressed for six years and had taken psychedelic mushrooms “48 hours prior to the flight.” NBC News’ Tom Costello reports.
